London Art Week Summer 2018

London Art Week Summer 2018 is the world’s most important gallery-based celebration of pre-contemporary art. The event celebrates the exceptional riches and unparalleled expertise available within the galleries of Mayfair and St. James’s – a unique neighbourhood which represents the international and historic centre of the traditional art trade.

Highlights of our summer exhibition of British & European paintings include an engaging portrait of the young lawyer Samuel Rose by Sir Thomas Lawrence; the Russian émigré painter Serge Ivanoff’s wonderfully flamboyant portrait of the great Parisian couturier Jacques Fath (1912-1954); and an important compositional sketch by the French orientalist Édouard Debat-Ponsan for his most important work Le Massage, Scène de Hammam (1883).
